Safeguarding and Child Protection

We take our safeguarding responsibilities seriously and follow the Local Safeguarding Children’s Board’s procedures. In compliance with these, we record any injuries your child has sustained while away from pre-school using a Previous Injuries form. We appreciate your help with bringing these to our attention when your child comes into pre-school and we will help you complete this form. A member of staff will countersign your entry.

In most instances confidential information will not be shared with outside agencies unless we have your written authorisation. However, all pre-school staff have a duty of care to report and act on any suspicions of abuse, disclosures and concerns, when we will seek advice from the Children’s Social Care Intergrated Front Door Service and share such information without your permission. In such instances, we will follow advice given by the Children’s Social Care team.

All matters are treated with the utmost confidentiality.
